Responsibilities:
This is a permanent, full-time position reporting to the Service Manager, a POS Service Technician’s responsibilities are (but not limited to):
1. Answer calls in a professional and calm manner
2. Establish professional customer/vendor relationships with appropriate customer personnel
3. Diagnose issues from a remote basis, including printer, cash drawer, pc, and terminal issues as well as software
4. Be able to attend onsite calls to swap hardware and solve software issues
5. Capture customer information so that we can complete any invoicing as well as stay in contact to ensure customer is satisfied
Physical Requirements
1. Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull objects weighing 20lbs to 150lbs. Equipment provided.
2. Must be able to sit and stand for long periods of time, typical bends/crouches on a regular basis.
Qualifications
1. Clean record check
2. High School diploma, college diploma or university degree is a strong asset
3. Valid and non-expired class 5 drivers license, or equivalent to Manitoba class 5
4. Strong organizational and communication skills, self-motivated, sense of urgency
5. Creative and analytical problem-solving skills
6. Familiarity with information technology
7. Ability to work unsupervised
